Like all other teams in cricket field, Pakistani team also plays for only 50, 100 and more runs. Pakistani strategy to against Sri Lanka in Colombo is very ordinary and simple. Pakistan chose to field since it is afraid of bating collapse and as usual offered a full 100 runs in the first innings to one batboy after others collapsed, expecting return favors from Lankan boys but they did not oblige the visitors and so the first innings ended for Pakistan without 100. But Pakistan knows it can get it in the second innings by offering more 100s to SL batboys. Pakistan can’t challenge any team because it is not a solid team.
Pakistan strategy worked. In the second innings Pakistani bowlers offered more than 100 runs to SL captain Mathews after removing others cheaply. And, SL bowlers this time obliged Pakistan by offering two full 100 to Pak batboys after quickly removing tow batboys. After that they stopped targeting the stumps and for wickets- they just threw balls to poor Pakistani batboys who enjoyed thoroughly. . .
Now knowing how to deal with SL team, Indi a has also quickly decided to go to SL next month and play tests for 100s on mutual “understanding”.
